Brent A. McDade is a Director of DCF. Mr. McDade specializes in business valuation, the preparation of fairness opinions, and financial analysis related to capital sourcing.
His business valuation experience includes the appraisal of equity securities, debt instruments, and derivatives. He has provided valuation services related to mergers and acquisitions, buy-sell agreements, fairness opinions, Employee Stock Ownership Plans, estate and gift tax matters, shareholder disputes, and marital dissolutions. He has served as an expert witness in disputes regarding business valuation and economic damages in federal and state courts. He has provided fairness opinions on transactions in the financial services and healthcare industries, and he worked as part of a team that closed over 900 transactions while working for a publicly traded consolidator.
Mr. McDade is a frequent speaker on business valuation and related topics to groups of business owners and their advisors.
He graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He has earned the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), as well as the Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) and Business Valuator Accredited for Litigation (BVAL) credentials awarded by the Institute of Business Appraisers.
Mr. McDade also serves as Managing Director of Decosimo Advisory Services, a division of Joseph Decosimo and Company, PLLC.
